The Building Blocks of NJ, also known as The BBNJ, is a community service organization. We are a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization. Our volunteers, donors, supporters, and partners have been working together to empower individuals and families in the community to over come challenges. We strive to to meet and exceed our communities needs by making making all our meals Halal and economically friendly.
Working together for a state where no one is left without food.
Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbor to his side goes hungry.”
A divorced sister lost her job and was 3 months past due on rent with an eviction notice in hand. She has a three year old son. Some days she does not eat in order to afford food for her child. These are our brothers and sisters, they are desperately living on the edge and have no one else to turn to. Help them so Allah will help you when YOU are in desperate need of help.
We had a client who would come into the Union City head quarters, she was in very difficult financial situation and would occasionally sleep on the streets. Prior to taking any groceries and food she would volunteer her time saying that she "wanted to help others and contribute."
Salam Alikoum,
Since the founding of this organization in 2010, our primary objective has been consistency in our service and efficient use of donations. Since 2010, we have fed thousands upon thousands of individuals in various ways, from halal hot meals to groceries for homes in need. Our accomplishments have been possible with the help, support, and donations from people like you in the communities we serve. I urge everyone to do what they can to continue supporting the BBN. Follow us on social media and share the work we do; you can even donate as little as a dollar.
Thank you,
