We have two main chapters that feed those that are in need. Each meal costs under $1.
Each meal has a turkey and cheese sandwich, granola bar, chips, mustard pack, and a bottle of water.
Since 2008, our efforts have grown, we now serve in:
BBNJ has a local Zakat committee that has 0 overhead. 100% of all donated funds goes to local brothers and sister. In the state of NJ we are the only non profit that give out Zakat locally with 0 overhead.
Our main pantry is located at the BBNJ headquarters in Union City. We work with the Food Bank of NJ to provide low cost produce to the local area. The pantry is open once a week, it provides food senior citizens monthly and any walk-in client.
BBNJ provides the local community with over 10,000 pounds of fresh food per month. We support over 150 families monthly. This project is important because it helps give access to the community to a healthy alternatives.
BBNJ has partnered with BabyBox University. Providing content, guides, and tutorials to empower parents with knowledge.
We offer the homeless community with hygiene kits and seasonal winter gear to help deal with the changes in season.
We work with the reformed Church of Highland Park and IRC to help any refugees that get resettled into the NJ area. We work to make sure that they are set up with halal groceries and any other needs. BBNJ makes sure that refugees can use our community connections so that they can succeed in any aspect of their lives.
During Ramadan we hold a toy drive to give to kids in the NJ area gifts for Eid.
Providing 300 Muslim inmates hot Iftar everyday.
